English Enrichment Week 2019 | SRS Datuk Simon Fung

This year’s English Week organised by the English Panel was held successfully on the 8th April to 12th April 2019. There are three main activities organised for the week which was participated by all classes from Primary 1 to 6. The first activity was Poetry Writing which was held during class period. The material for Poetry Writing has been prepared earlier and was handed out to the students by the subject teacher for each class. Other activities such as Spelling Bee and Story Telling which was held at the school hall and was split into 2 sessions; Lower Primary before recess and Upper Primary after recess. Another activity that was participated by both Lower and Upper Primary was the Poetry Recital, also being held at the school hall and was able to finish before the recess as the Upper Primary will have Choral Speaking after the recess. A day before that, Action Song was participated to only the Lower Primary and special performance by the Learning Centre before the recess and Speech Competition was participated by the Upper Primary after the recess. The closing ceremony was officiated by the CEO of St. Simon Educational Complex, Mr. Jason Soon. A total of 215 trophies have been given away for this year’s English Week. With the end of this year’s English Week, we want to thank the Headmistress, Madam Winnie Voo, all Senior Assistants, fellow teachers, the staffs, students and parents who have supported our activities.
